The kind people at British Corner Shop have given us a special discount code to help you save money on your Christmas shopping.

The new 15% discount code is BRITISHEXPATCOM which will be valid until the end of December 2011.

I'm feeling lazy this year, do you have any idea which of their Xmas puddings would be the best? They have Coles, Fox's Duchy and Mathew Walker. I haven't heard of any of these brands and was hoping to get a Marks and Sparks one but if these are comparable I might be tempted.

Sorry, Graeme. I don't know about any of these brands either. We also usually get ours from M&S.

You can ask BCS to stock specific products for you, so that might be a possibility. They have a "suggest product" page:

We've developed a liking for Tesco puds and mince pies. We treat Christmas pud like farmers treat cattle - put them on a feed lot before slaughter. In our case, the food is mostly brandy.

The three brands on offer here are all specialist products that should be 'better than the average, Boo Boo'. I'll see if any of my wife's affluent clients can comment on them, but wouldn't be surprised if they get theirs from Lidl...
