“They say photographers should never work with animals or children, but I can never resist a challenge…!
“Actually, this portrait more or less fell into my lap. I was sitting at the bar on Christmas Night and this young lady plonked herself down on the stool beside me, put her arms on the bar, rested her head on her arms and gazed up at me. I grabbed the camera, zoomed in tight and took the shot – one of the best portraits I’ve taken for a few weeks! Her parents were chuffed to bits, too.”
Kay has been an expat for over 20 years. She set up the British Expat website more than 10 years ago, whilst living in London and missing the expat life. These days she spends much of her time lugging computers and cameras around the world. (Dave gets to deal with all the really heavy stuff.)
