British Buikder in Dubai - for Domestic work

Postby britishbuilder » Mon 2 Feb 2009 10:14 GMT

Hi Iam a fully qualified British Builder based in Dubai. I am currently working as a Operations Manager for a Fit-Out company on Dubai, where we specialise in mainly residential works, i.e complete villa refurbs, news kitchens, new bathrooms, odd jobs etc......the amount of horrific things I have witnessed since joining this compnay are shocking !!!!

Therefor i am now thinking of setting up own private business which will be completely british run, even down to the workers ..... I am sick of cleaning up someone elses mess, or rectifying the problems caused by the incompetent predessor of mine.

I would like to know if any of you would use such a company or if you would opt for the cheaper labour which only costs you in the long run.

Let me know ????
Thanks the Builder

Hi

Just saw your post and was wondering if you ever set up the business and if so, if you needed workers.

We are considering a move to Dubai and my partner is a builder (bricklayer, carpenter, plasterer, roofer etc...) What are the chances of him finding work there?

Thanks
