Newsletter editorial, Sep '12: Something cheesy

Postby Dave » Sun 30 Sep 2012 12:11 GMT

This month's newsletter editorial is all about cheese - a great favourite among Britons overseas.

Do you remember the British Cheese Board's campaign in the 1970s, focusing on nine cheeses? They were:
    Caerphilly
    Cheddar
    Cheshire
    Derby
    Double Gloucester
    Lancashire
    Red Leicester
    Stilton
    Wensleydale

I always used to like Lancashire - nice and crumbly and tangy. Yarg is pretty nice, too. We first discovered that in our local, er, fish shop in Wallington back in the late 1990s.

Which was your favourite? One of the BCB Nine, or maybe something else?
