This guy is amazing. 105 years old and he's a lot smarter than the BBC guy who is interviewing him. (Fair enough, who wouldn't be overawed in his presence?) Such a clever man and also quite humble. Still got all his faculties, and more, even at his great age.

Probably the best person I ever met was Lord Weatherill. We didn't agree on politics, of course. He was a Tory, after all. But the fifteen minutes or so I got to chat to him was one of the highlights of my life.

What a wonderful privilege to have a chance to chat to that man when he was sort of off-duty. He was charming. One of the few people in the world you could call "charming" without any negative thoughts.
