Newsletter editorial, Nov '14: Why is a turkey a turkey?

Postby Dave » Sun 30 Nov 2014 22:49

With Christmas fast approaching, this month's newsletter was all about turkeys. How did they come to be the "traditional" Christmas bird?

More to the point, perhaps: why are they so popular? Kay and I would rather have a nice juicy pork roast. How about you?

While you're at it, tell us what else makes it onto your Christmas dinner plate, and what doesn't. Does your family bar sprouts? Will you pay twenty quid just for a tiny taste of parsnip? Have you got your own special secret bread sauce recipe?

We'd love to hear all about your festive fare, so please do tell us about it! 8-)
