Online games?

Postby Kay » Wed 24 Mar 2010 15:22 GMT

Is there anyone here who plays online games? I go through phases when I do, then I don't. Dave seems to always be on the Sudoku.

Do you, or would you, pay to play any games if the money prizes were sufficiently attractive? I believe poker is very popular online.

Any thoughts or comments, please?

I play scrabble on the I.S.C. and play with people all over the world. I'd play for money and pay for the privilege depending on how it was controlled, it would be very easy to cheat using a anagrammer.

I had a phase when I was playing an ocean racing simulator, but that was real time, using real weather. Took almost as much of my time as the real thing, so I don't do it any more - but I made quite few new friends.

[more typos. I'm not going to bother to tell any more unless someone has commented on my errors]

I enjoy regular games of on line bridge with players from all over the world. I am always amazed at the good English spoken by the vast majority of players no matter where they are. Bridge is such a challenging game that it has been written "Experts play badly. The rest of us are just terrible."
