We're being paid £10 to eat breakfast

Postby Dave » Mon 28 Jun 2010 18:54 GMT

I've just been on www.agoda.com , booking an overnight stay for us at an airport hotel.

Bizarrely, when I was presented with the list of rooms available at our chosen hotel, I was given the choice of an advance paid room with breakfast, or an advance paid room at "room only" rate. The "room only" rate was £10 more expensive.

As it happens, it's probably academic anyway since we'll be flying shortly after six in the morning, so we'll have left the hotel some time before breakfast even starts. But still...

I wonder if they'll try to charge us an extra £10 when we check out because we haven't had our breakfast?

Well, some breakfasts at hotels you'd need to pay me a lot more than £10 to attempt them.

It is kinda weird though that with breakfast is a tenner cheaper than without breakfast. I suspect it's just their inability to get their Internet booking system working correctly.

So many businesses can't even get that right.
