US name for a Marathon, Ruggie - a Mars bar is a Mars bar everywhere. ;-)

Marathon was renamed Snickers in the UK 18 (!) years ago, and is soon to be changed back to Marathon

Oh, well. Never eaten a Marathon - or a Snickers bar. As a kid, I used to roll Mars bars into a ball before meating them - but that was in a warm climate. I give up trying to keep up with today's trends....

Chris, I have memories of Shultz' lawyers chasing IBM UK because someone within IBM created a Snoopy cartoon as a printer test sheet and someone else saw it running on a printer that was situated in the window of the Wigmore Street office. Hope no-one has chased you about AE Neumann...(did I spell that right? Long time since I saw a copy of Mad mag)

I back Marathon. Snickers seems a daft name for a a candy bar, and I suspect it was meant to be understood as a noun.
