Hmm... there were a few time-serving MPs in there.

And from the sound of the latest Private Eye we've received, the number's set to go up. After the practice of giving superannuated MPs knighthoods had been largely abandoned, they look set to revive it. All three main parties' whips are in favour. Who'da thought it?

I'm not mad keen on the resurrection of the British Empire Medal either - it seems like a retrograde step in the efforts to eliminate class privilege.

That said, I'd have to agree that there were some good names on the list.
