Advice on relocating to Sulaymaniyah ?

If both of you had read the posting guidelines before posting, you'd already have known that you wouldn't be able to PM - and the reasons why. Not least, it stops people joining up and spamming via PM, something our users have complained about in the past. So I think, Max, your FUBAR comment is ill-judged at best, if not plain rude.

In any case, why the secrecy? Post once in public and everyone can benefit from the information; PM it and you'll only have to PM it again the next time someone asks. I can understand that some things might need to remain private for security reasons, but surely not general stuff about what the place is like to live and work in?

As it happens, I too have lived in Sul and enjoyed my time there. But I chose not to answer because it was such a long time ago (early 1990s) and my info would most likely be out of date by now.

Anyway, it does seem rather rude to show up here and almost immediately complain that the place is no good because it's not all run to suit you. Do we owe you something? We don't. So please don't behave as though we do.
