Camping in Italy

Camping in Italy

Postby atoz » Wed 26 May 2004 12:17

Am I missing something or is there really no Italy forum? Strange. Anyway, just wondered if anyone could answer two silly questions:

1 - Is a day trip by train from Trieste to Venice plausible?

2 - Staying on a campsite in Trieste; does anyone have any thoughts as to whether we'd be able to buy methylated spirits anywhere in town (for cooking, honest)? I imagine the airline wouldn't be too happy about me carrying it on...

Cheers,

Atoz.

Sorry Atoz, only just back in Internet world.

1. Yup, certainly is. You can do it fairly early out/late back as well, and it often works out cheaper than staying in Trieste...
2. I'm sure you will be able to. I guess a petrol station would be a good bet. I've it's a particualrly large campsite with shop etc onsite, you can probably buy it there. Apol, but never actually stayed in Trieste, only passed through so can't help with specifics.

Yes, where on earth is the Italian forum. There's one for norway but not one for Italy. How many Brits are in Norway, seven?

As for question 2.

Yes, you won't have a problem.

We don't have many members in Italy. I don't know if that's a chicken and egg situation. :?

Maybe we should make one?

I am Italian and live in Genoa. Are any Brits out here any more? You founded the glorious Genoa Cricket and Football Club in 1898! In fact, the very first Football Club in Italy ... and then?
