average cost of living in Fiji

Hi all,

I am interested in shifting to Fiji to retire.
I live in New Zealand and the cost of living never stops going up so we are looking at a warmer climate, FIJI
Can some body tell some costs please
Average costs.
Power per month
Phone per month
Food for a couple per week

I am just looking what It's cost my wife and my self per month generaly
Also the cost of buying a average car
Hope some can help

I haven't lived in Fiji since 2004 so I can't give you any precise figures. However, as long as you don't want to live like a tourist using lots of imported goods, you can enjoy a decent standard of living for less than it costs to live in Aus. I don't know about NZ.
