New in Georgia

Hi..Thought to start a topic, just in case there are any other loners like me looking for a forum to get together and share interests.

I am a Telecom Engineer age 30 from London and moving (in 2 weeks) to Tbilisi, Georgia for six month job. Looking for anyone english speaking from UK, Australia, west europe or Georgia itself etc so please do reply.

Idea is to start a platform on finding some trustworthy friends, places to socialise, make a nice group to visit the area. So far I could find very less info. about places to have fun in Tbilisi apart from some ancient historical and art places. Now this doesnt mean they are not interesting but moving from London nightlife makes kinda curious about finding something same.

Any kind of valuable info on do's and dont is welcome.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure if we have many members in Georgia but it would be good to get something going for the expats there.

It would be nice to get something going for Georgia but any forum needs to reach a critical mass before it takes off, and we haven't quite got there with Georgia yet. Here's hoping. Maybe you can help us

I just posted questions on Georgia and Tlibisi and noticed your posting was the most current besides mine. I assume you've arrived in Georgia so I hope you can fill me in on how it is to work and live there. I need to make a decision very soon on whether or not I'll accept a position there and need all the help I can get. There's really no information on the web with the exception of Embassy sites, travel sites, and movers. I was hoping to chat with people who actually lived there and can give me info on living conditions. I hope you answer. Tks...
