Holiday in Florida [moved from Driving]

This forum is for all the jumbled up info about Canada. We've asked that, on the info forums, you please post on the relevant forums, start new threads for new topics, and please keep on topic. Otherwise the info is too hard too find for those coming after, and the already overworked Mods end up having to repeatedly answer the same questions. (If your posting is locked in here, please feel free to post again in the appropriate place.)

Hi Jim

Out of interest, if we decided to go for christmas and new year, would the weather be OK?

We have been in Feb, June and during the summer time...but have never gone beyond the middle of September. The last time we went was in 2004 and we got caught in a hurricane, pretty scary.

Also, we have been trying to find out about villa rentals and in particular if there are any that are owned by Canadians.

We would be happy to go to the hotels we have been to in the past, but now the kids are getting older, I think they need more room....not that you are in your room very much!!

I've moved this posting out of the original thread ("Driving from Ontario to Florida") for a number of reasons:

- It's off-topic: none of the questions have anything at all to do with driving;

- It asks multiple unrelated questions: we ask you to post unrelated questions in separate topics on the appropriate boards;

- It asks (albeit obliquely) for recommendations: this only encourages people to score a free advert.

Please read and observe our posting guidelines - they're there to keep the boards useful for as many people as possible. We don't have the time to keep dealing with errant postings.
