Firstly welcome to the forum.

DO NOT use the real estate lawyer for any transactions. Find your own independant lawyer.

DO NOT be rushed into a purchase, currently it is a buyers market, there are so many properties available if the real estate company is telling you otherwise the are not to be trusted. If they tell you someone else wants to buy the property, let them buy it. You will be able to find a better or equivelent property.

If the property you want to buy needs renovation DO NOT use a builder associated with the real estate company that is managing the sale. The best way to find a builder is by word of mouth.

DO NOT let your heart rule your head.

Many many people have been ripped off buying property off plan, i.e. Property not already built.

Do enjoy your visit, Bulgaria is a lovely place to live. It has its problems, but, so do many other countries.

Lots of do nots, I know, best to be warned in advance of your visit though.

Just one other DO NOT if I may, make sure that the person selling whatever, especially apartments actually owns the property, and that the property has planning permission. Ask your lawyer specifically about which Act has been granted for the property.
