Hi everyone :?

Could you please tell me what the weather is like in March as we are planning to drive over from the UK to Bulgaria in March of next year to live.

Weather in March

It very much depends on where in Bulgaria you want to go. If your destination lies on the Black Sea coast (towns of Varna, Burgas, Nessebar, Pomorie, etc) then winter is milder with temperatures not lower than - 10C -15C (and these are not so common). Then again there are always strong winds near the sea, so it feels colder.

If you are planning to visit the capital Sofia, be advised that climate there is harsher with lower temperatures in winter and higher in summer (+40C is not uncommon). The lack of strong winds makes summers even worse, but it is nice in winter.

As Bulgarians like to say "March is just like a woman" meaning: the weather changes a lot with sunshine one day and a snowstorm on the next. There is also rain, so  bring clothes for all seasons!
