London from the skies

Looks like we have a few photographers and artists in our midst so here's a place to talk about all photography, art, and related subjects.

London from the skies

Here's a really nice collection of photos from the BBC.

I'm currently reading a book set in the time of Richard III. I wonder what London would have looked like from the skies in his day. Apparently he didn't like the place very much - too busy and dirty. Maybe things don't change all that much. :)

Very nice pictures, I loved the lighting and composition. That also brought back some memories for me, I used to help police the Brick Lane market (and the Petticoat Lane market) almost 40 years ago now (jeez is it really that long ago?). Wow, I think I have to go lie down now.

Nice work. Wonder why I haven't seen pics of London by evening light before? Perhaps it takes aerial shots like these to make really good use of it.
