What does peace look like to you?

Looks like we have a few photographers and artists in our midst so here's a place to talk about all photography, art, and related subjects.

What does peace look like to you?

If you're the kind of woman who knows what peace looks like and can catch it in a photo then you might want to enter a competition organised by The International Women's Development Agency entitled Women's Eye on Peace II.

If you're a man, too bad, but you might have female acquaintances who'd be interested!

Are there any such competitions that are open only to men? Or would that be too discriminatory?

Exactly what I thought MIke. I was poised over the keyboard and then thought: "Ah, let it go (again)".

Dunno how such a thing would go down in Thailand. It's maybe an urban myth but I've heard it's the only country in the world which has official forms with: Male/Female/Other. Gender really isn't an issue here.

Back to the point - I wouldn't enter a photo competition for women on the basis that if I won I might wonder how many men might've had better photos but weren't allowed to enter. Nah, I'd rather compete on equal terms.

I understand that you men feel excluded. From my side, I feel insulted that they feel the need to keep men out so that a woman might be in with a chance of winning.
