Photographers and Artists

The disappearing tribe

Looks like we have a few photographers and artists in our midst so here's a place to talk about all photography, art, and related subjects.

The disappearing tribe

My erstwhile photographically challenged wife (Claire Young) usually manages to get the top half of nothing into a photo. Somehow, even with a brand new digital SLR that she didn't know how to use she took this photo while on our honeymoon in Tanzania, managing to capture the magical atmosphere of the camp really well.

Two Maasai at Sunset at a camp in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania.

Hi James,
I can't get to see that photo. It's telling me I'm not logged in.

That's it! I can see it now. Very nice photo. Out of interest, what DSLR was it taken with?

You ship your camera gear  .
That would be like shipping your baby  .
Mine never gets of my hot grubby hands whenever I'm travelling.

Nice photo!

It'd be a good Pic of the Week (POTW).

I agree with Alan - my camera (Canon D60) always travels hand luggage with me.
Not Delia - Foodie blog with lots of reviews and recipes.

I was a little concerned but we were so stacked for hand luggage that I just could not fit it all in, something had to give. Personal items (including two cats) took priority over a new camera, it's well insured though.

POTW would be cool, Claire would be a bit gobsmacked I think, her pics are normally a little ... shall we say 'in need of guidance'
