Photographers and Artists

Photo of the week

Looks like we have a few photographers and artists in our midst so here's a place to talk about all photography, art, and related subjects.

Photo of the week

Postby Savannah_Alan » Tue 12 Feb 2008 21:38 GMT

I just realised that I hadn't put anything up for photo of the week for ages!

Of course, I've still been shooting as usual.
Anyway, thought I'd better put something up:

Autumn Farm Scene

Autumn here in Dahlonega is always a very special time of the year, as we get a spectacular display of colours when the leaves suddenly burst into vibrant colour before falling.
During my usual hunting this past season, I looked through some bushes to see this scene. I had to wade into the bushes and shoot over the top of a fence, but I couldn't resist this tranquil scene.

Thanks, Alan!

The colours are spectacular. But it's not just the blue sky and the incredible colours of the trees and all the "nature", the whole composition has an absolute wealth of colour too. The more you look the more you see, it's not just trees - the sheds, the tractor within, etc.

Very impressive, and thanks for the Pic of the Week (for next week).

Fantastic photo, would have liked to see it bigger though.

Thanks Sue!

Yes, you really don't get an idea at such a small size. They look so much better at full size!

Anyway, here's a slightly larger version.
