I was told that these are coconuts, but on closer inspection I'm not so sure now. Has anyone any ideas?

Maybe coconut husks rather than coconuts - they look as if they're split, and the load would probably be too great for the lorry if they were whole coconuts.

Can't see a net, so every single one must be tied on. Clearly, the cost of labour is low.
