Are vaccinations compulsory to attend state primary school?

Here's the place to discuss schools in the state system. Private schools are commercially operated businesses just like any other, so they're included with all the other premium content. Any posts here about non-state schools will be removed.

Are vaccinations compulsory to attend state primary school?

Postby atoz34 » Tue 10 May 2011 21:31 GMT

I have two unvaccinated girls and have tried to research Malta's policy on immunisations re primary school ... but am struggling to find a definitive on this.

Can anyone out there tell me what the legal requirements are?

Do I have to produce a vaccination card to get them into school and if so, what particular vaccinations are required? I am loathe to vaccinate, so am hoping somebody will confirm it's not compulsory!

Many thanks

I know children have to pass a medical before being admitted to a govt school, but not sure what it consists of.

What are your reasons for not vaccinating them ?
