AV gear, will it work?

Hi

It is highly likely me and my wife will be moving to India soon, Bangalore first stop. I will be working from home and use a lot of IT equipment from the UK (PC's LCD displays, audio gear etc) I'm also a complete gadget freak and love my home cinema and am trying to find out if I can use all my toys in India? It seems the voltage and amps are the same as the UK so I will just need a plug convertor but would be very gratefull if anyone could give me some 1st hand knowledge with this and confirm if it will all work ok?
