Postby rossm1987 » Fri 11 Nov 2011 17:31 GMT

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me out, i work internationally as a marine engineer on a 2 month on 2 month off rotation, My girlfriend is a US citizen and my question is, Would there be any problem flying to the US and spending my 2month vacation there each leave period? we dont plan to marry for a couple of years so would this be viable under the VWP for the time being?
Any info much appreciated! Thanks!

Should be okay, I think you have to apply for a visitors visa, and so long as you don't plan to work and stay more than 6 months in any calendar year you should be okay. However, I am not giving legal advice here and you might want to check it out with the authorities.
