They're excellent photos. No drama. Just a very weary look on all the soldiers faces. I found them quite moving.

I found these photos very honest. No drama. No glory.

A lot of being stuck in these countries is about boredom, bad food, playing cards for entertainment, and maybe 1% shitting yourself with fear or bad food...

I think it's much worse now than it was, say, 20 years ago. More danger and much nastier enemies.
