A Cambodian cyclo and its passenger trundle through a busy Phnom Penh marketplace.
Kay adds:
“Cambodian cyclos, like Vietnamese ones, aren’t like the cycle rickshaws found elsewhere, for instance in South Asia or Thailand. The passenger sits in front and is pushed, rather than sitting behind and being pulled.
“It makes for a pretty unnerving experience as there’s nothing between you and whatever’s in front. But it doesn’t seem to be worrying this lady. Her cargo of eggs makes it look almost as if she’s testing the cyclo‘s suspension, or the rider’s smooth handling!”
