School traditions from around the globe

Culture shock is a topic that’s been covered extensively on British Expat, and generally you’ll hear horror stories of people feeling isolated and alone in a strange new environment. Small children, however, often seem oblivious to gigantic, life-changing shifts and take it all in their stride, happy to be embarking on a new adventure. With this in mind we thought you might enjoy taking a look at this cartoon animation illustrating some of the nice school traditions that your expat youngsters might take part in if you decide to move abroad.

You’ll also find a more detailed breakdown of these traditions on WhichOffshore’s website. The list, of course, isn’t exhaustive, and we’d love to hear of any heart-warming and twee traditions that readers of British Expat have come across in their travels.
