Edinburgh to host A Taste of Spain
Edinburgh will host a free festival this month celebrating the culture and cuisine of the UK’s favourite holiday hotspot.
The Mound in the heart of Scotland’s capital city will provide the venue for A Taste of Spain on 24 and 25 July. Supported by the Spanish Tourist Office, the free festival will feature all sorts of spectacles and attractions showcasing the European country’s different regions and communities.
There will be a giant paella prepared on both days to represent Valencia, as well as ham from Andalucía and street entertainment by a Galician folk music group.
Sports fans will be able to try out the golf simulators that will be set up to showcase the range of courses available on Fuerteventura and Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, while World Freestyle champion John Farnworth will show off his impressive football skills.
A Taste of Spain will be coming to Edinburgh following events in Liverpool and London earlier this year.
